10. LOST: how did you manage to get lost in these woods? you had that map, right?
11. CHANCE ENCOUNTER: it’s a fairy! no, wait, that was just an ogre. an ogre?! from sorcerers to talking deer, you can meet anything in an enchanted forest.
12. CHASE SCENE: on the run from the cops, or maybe you are the cops. however it works, someone's trying to get away, and someone else doesn't want 'em to. Also good for zombies, dinosaurs, and disaster movies.
13. FORMAL: maybe it's an elegant dinner or maybe it's an over-the-top post-oscar bash, but you're at a party where no expense was spared. obviously someone is going to start a scene.
14. INFORMAL: not all parties feature red carpets or the family silver. sometimes you just want to hang out with friends. sometimes that's not as easy as it sounds. maybe the barbecue grill's on fire. maybe the host is. whatever—this is not as relaxing as planned.
15. CAUGHT: this isn't what you think! or maybe it is. either way, someone got busted, and it looks bad.
16. HANDCUFFED: anyway.
17. WEDDING: it's not a katy post without this TIME TO GET HITCHED.
18. WILDCARD: you can leave me a blank or ANYTHING W/E.

[ Nothing seemed to relax her enough to sleep through the night. What little she did get was disturbed by nightmares. It didn't put her in the best of moods during the day. The only thing that seemed to help was knowing that she wasn't alone. Sometimes it was little more than a late night text, but she decided tonight she wouldn't mind the company. It wasn't long before she made herself comfortable right up against him, stealing his warmth and mumbling. ]

Just for a little bit...

[ Dreams. He hasn't had a normal one in years, now. It's become the norm to have nightmare upon nightmare of the same things. At this point, a light-hearted dream might be scarier than what he's had lately.

Deep sleep is also a complete joke. An eye cracks open when she enters, and he's fully awake when she's in the bed with him. He turns from his side to face her, an arm tucked under his pillow. ]

Did I wake you?

[ She shifts out of his way as he moves. Maybe she should have told him she was coming. It was kind of an impulsive decision. There isn't really anyone else she can turn to. No one that would understand like he would. If her presence can be a comfort to him too then she's happy to provide it. ]

[kimaris]

[ He's shaking his head, even though she did. A little bit. He likely would have woken up, regardless. ]

It's fine. [ He's lifting up the blankets a bit more, encouraging her to make herself comfortable. ] Are you alright?

I've been better.

[ If he's offering then she's happy to join him under the blankets. It's nice and cozy. Why ruin it talking about what's bothering her. It kind of goes without saying anyway. ]

Hm.

[ Ah, yeah. He can understand this. Eventually, he believes, it'll get better for one of them.Or things will become normal, they'll get used to it. Resolve is difficult, but he feels like the two of them are okay at it.

He's slipped a few times, but that's not really in danger anymore. ]

Comfortable?

[ She's still working on getting comfortable with her responsibilities. So many eyes on her. Sometimes she just wants to get away from it all. Her hair covers her face as she presses against his shoulder with a huff. ]

That's a yes.

[ Look. He's going to lightly tease, okay. ]

[ He's not wrong. It's much better than tossing back and forth in her own bed. She could just pretend she's asleep but she's too restless. Her arm stretches out and drapes over him. Still not coming out from under all that hair though. ]

You're not even trying to sleep.

[kimaris]

Mm. Right now, there's nothing waiting for me in dreams.

[ He's going to sit up though, resting a forearm against his knee. ]

I see the same person every night. When I sleep tomorrow, it'll be the same thing. Will you be alright?

[sharpestsword]

[ She was hoping he would. Maybe listening to his breathing as he slept would be enough to help. Yet they're much the same. She follows him, folding her arms over his shoulder and resting her chin on top. Trying to sleep now would only leave him alone with his thoughts. ]

It's fine. If it helps then maybe I should have come here sooner.

[kimaris]

There's nothing to worry about now.

[ It's over.

For better or worse. ]

The only thing that remains are ghosts. As far as I know, those can't hurt us.
